My grandfather Lazar, born exactly 79 years ago who knows everything about the apples, grapes (wine and desert), soils, agriculture, tomatoes, WWII and a bunch of other things was born in village Chelopech, near town Pirdop, the south slope of Balkan Mountains, mother Anastasiya and father Dancho. He has an older sister and his father dies when he is only 3 years old. He inherits his name- Lazar from a big man who was leading some troops when Bulgarian army invades Odrin (or nowadays Edirne, Turkey) in some of the last century wars Bulgaria had. There is romantic and absolutely nice legend about his family name Pangarov (but I think it needs to be told in a separate post). He meets my grandmother Maria in the University, after they graduate they move to Dobrudzha where they start to develop the agriculture! They give birth to my mother in 1955 and 6-7-8 years after they move to Dobrich, where I was born. I will remember him with his knowledge about any of the fields when we are traveling, which year how many tones of harvest the field gave. He is sworn communist but I am sure he is from the good one. Long live my grandfather and Happy Birthday! I love you just as you are :)
