When I moved in the new city I started reading Idiot by Dostoevsky. It swallow me quickly, I liked it very much but it was going too deep inside me, acting like an invisible trigger on my confused emotions and feelings in the late time. I have now only ~70 pages left. I will finish it. Indeed I can not avoid thinking of 3 years ago when I finished my first book by Dostoevsky, "Brothers Karamazov". It had again a huge time gap before finishing the last couple of hundred killer pages. Back then I fall sick. Who knows if it was just a coincidence or reality that the book really swallowed all my previous visions about life and made a limit which I haven't yet reached with any other good book. Meanwhile I read a small book full of sentences, present from my mother and I started "Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse. Incredible book, only 120 pages, but the books takes its time. I re-read pages, chapters, paragraphs and enjoy it very much. I developed a new term in life: Karma conservation Law which the book reminds, I can not avoid searching for the signs and paths in these confusing, emotional, scattered and empty days. To be continued with pictures from rainy Balchik.
"I thank you, my benefactor," spoke Siddhartha, disembarking on the other
side of the river. "I have no gift I could give you for your
hospitality, my dear, and also no payment for your work. I am a man
without a home, a son of a Brahman and a Samana."
"I did see it," spoke the ferryman, "and I haven't expected any payment
from you and no gift which would be the custom for guests to bear. You
will give me the gift another time."
"Do you think so?" asked Siddhartha amusedly.
"Surely. This too, I have learned from the river: everything is coming
back! You too, Samana, will come back. Now farewell! Let your
friendship be my reward. Commemorate me, when you'll make offerings to
the gods."
"Slowly blossomed, slowly ripened in Siddhartha the realisation, the
knowledge, what wisdom actually was, what the goal of his long search
was. It was nothing but a readiness of the soul, an ability, a secret
art, to think every moment, while living his life, the thought of
oneness, to be able to feel and inhale the oneness. Slowly this
blossomed in him, was shining back at him from Vasudeva's old, childlike
face: harmony, knowledge of the eternal perfection of the world,
smiling, oneness."
